Privacy policy — Trooper Copilot
Trooper Copilot is an internal prospecting tool of Hotmart Latam Sales & Growth. It helps lead development reps (LDRs) find and qualify content creators using the public pages they already visit. This document explains what the extension does with data.
What the extension reads and stores
When you browse, the extension reads the page you are on and keeps only extracted fields, never the page text or a copy of the page:
- the page URL, domain and title;
- business information shown on the page: brand and creator name, headline, description, country, language, tax IDs;
- product and price information: product type, prices and currencies, installments, offers;
- the technology and payment platforms used by the page (checkout, site builder, ad pixels, analytics);
- public contact details published on the page: emails, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers and links, social profile links;
- audience figures the page states (followers, students);
- what you type: lead status, notes and the qualification checks you enter in the list view.
Some of this is personal data of third parties (creators who publish their contact details). It is used only to qualify them as business prospects.
Where it is stored
Everything is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). The extension has no server, makes no network requests, loads no remote code and sends no analytics. Nothing is transmitted to Hotmart, to Google or to anyone else. The data leaves your computer only when you export it (CSV, JSON backup, "Copy for Sheets") and choose where to put it.
What is not read
- Domains on your exclusion list (defaults include Google Workspace, Hotmart internal apps, Slack, Atlassian, Salesforce, WhatsApp Web, GitHub and similar) are never auto-scanned.
- Pages with a password field and account, billing, login or admin URLs are never auto-scanned.
- A price alone does not save a page: it needs a sales context (buy buttons, checkout links, sales platforms), so pages like bank statements are not stored.
- You can turn auto-scan off at any time from the popup.
Recommendation: use a dedicated Chrome profile for prospecting work, so your personal browsing never goes through the extension.
Your control
- Delete any lead, or all of them, from the list view (Settings → Delete all leads).
- Export a backup, or the full list, at any time.
- Uninstalling the extension deletes all stored data.
- Up to 5,000 pages are kept; beyond that the oldest untouched pages are removed automatically.
Sharing and sale
The extension does not sell or share user data, does not use it for advertising, credit or lending decisions, and does not use it for anything other than its single purpose: prospecting and qualification.
Changes
If a future version sends data anywhere (for example, to a central store for team analysis), this policy will be updated before release and the extension will ask for explicit consent first.
